Glow Goals: Founder Emma Peters Shares Aleph Beauty’s Radiance Secrets

As part of MyTreat's October 2024 'Glow' Wellness Box, we are thrilled to feature Aleph Beauty’s Radiance Balm in Star—a standout product that promises to light up your complexion with an ethereal glow.

Emma Peters, the founder and creator of Aleph Beauty, shares about her journey in the beauty world, the inspiration behind the Radiance Balm, and what it means to truly glow from within.

What's the biggest lesson you've learnt from starting and running a business?
It takes unwavering passion and commitment to build a business from the ground up.

What keeps you going? Or what keeps you, ahem, "glowing"?
I see what you did there! What keeps me going is an extension of question 1, passion for helping people look and feel like the best version of themselves and commitment to a better world for our future. What keeps me glowing is wearing Aleph of course!

Where do you get your inspiration for new products from?
Our customers inspire me every day. Knowing their usual pain points around conventional beauty products and the industry makes me want to do better on every front. When it comes to new product development, it has to fit within my personal and very fussy criteria of being easy to use, feel like nothing at all when worn and give the absolute best result.

Tell us the inspiration behind making the Radiance Balm.
I was looking for the ultimate all rounder, something that could be worn in place of an eye shadow, or as a highlight, and also give much more versatility to one’s complexion. As a Makeup Artist, I’m always mixing things together on the back of my hand to get a desired texture, so I wanted our customers to have the same satisfying experience of creating a bespoke glow (and very importantly, one that is not sticky and shiny!)

What does "to glow" and self-care mean to you?
Glowing to me means being fit and healthy. This is of course what we are trying to create by wearing makeup. If one is healthy, it shows—in the skin, in the eyes. So treating oneself well, with exercise, real food, nice self talk, and constantly seeking personal and conscious improvement is the ultimate form of self-care.

What are some future projects or initiatives that you are excited about for your business and its mission?
Ooh, we have some goodies in the pipeline!! Some long asked for products to boost our range. We’re also just about to grow our reach internationally, both in the US and Australia. There are some busy and exciting times ahead for Aleph Beauty!
